Can you check if your monitor has a large switch marked SW3 on it? I think only the MTC9000 has this switch. It switches between 1 volt and 5 volts input.

If it does not have this switch, then you would need the amp.

I'm interested in ordering the arcade VGA, however I'm not sure about if I need the vga video amplifier or not.

My monitor is an Hantarex MTC900E. As you say in your web page you don't need the amplifier when using an hantarex monitor, but I'm not sure because my model is a very old hantarex monitor (from 1984).

Have you got any info about if I need the video amplifier or not when using this model?
