The default mappings are shown below. However, you can change these to suit specific games, if necessary. Button 0 is always reserved as the joystick fire button.
Button Keyboard Equivalent 0 Joystick fire button 1 Caps Shift 2 Symbol Shift 3 A 4 Enter 5 Q 6 P 7 Space 8 (Start) 0 (zero) 9 (Shift) Z
To assign joystick buttons to Spectrum keyboard key presses
On the Tools menu, click Options. Click the Joystick tab and click Configure Button Mappings for either Player 1 or Player 2. Click the button in the list whose keyboard mapping you want to change. Press the key on the keyboard you want to assign to it. Important
If you are running Windows 95/98, you will need to use the Ctrl key to assign SYMBOL SHIFT to a joystick button. Tip
You can also press the actual button on the game controller whose keyboard mapping you want to change, rather than clicking the button in the list. Note
You can only assign keys that appear on the 48k Spectrum keyboard to joystick buttons. In particular, convience keys that map to more than one Spectrum key in Spectaculator cannot be chosen.
Segun parece puedes mapear todas las teclas para todos los juegos ocasi al 100%. Ademas para los que no te sea compatible esto te deja grabar un archivo de configuracion que se cargaria la cargar el juego.
Loading joystick settings from snapshots Spectaculator saves both players' joystick settings and button mappings to zx-state files, along with the rest of the emulated Spectrum's state.
Sometimes it may be desirable not to restore these when re-loading the snapshot.
For example, in some tournaments such as Speccy Tour, the snapshots are provided by the competition organisers and thus contain the organiser's joystick configuration rather than yours.
To enable or disable loading of joystick settings from snapshots
On the Tools menu, click Options. Click the Advanced tab. Click Restore joystick settings from snapshots. Click On or Off in the resulting dropdown list. Click OK.
