[ARCADOS] Configurando la tarjeta de sonido

ok, estoy deseando poder probarlo. Ya contaré resultados.

enchufa la isa, y pasale el sniffer.
si no te lo pilla el sniffer mirate en la bios que irq tiene asignada la ranura isa en la que la tienes puesta y posteala a ver que podemos hacer.

Yo es que tengo sonido integrado en la placa base AC97, y con esto no hay que configurar nada. Probé también una PCI 128 de esas y no tuve c*. Sorry.

Hola, tras pelearme con el Arcados y ver que funciona correctamente con la maca, voy a por el sonido, espero que Murphy duerma y no me encuentre mas problemas, lo primero sabeis si el Arca2Sound esta preparado para esta tarjeta: CREATIVE VIBRA16 CT4180, si es asi, donde hay que copiar el ARCA2SND para ejecutarlo, en la raiz de C:/ del Arcados o en alguna carpeta o directorio especial?

Estoy en segunda fase: SONIDO.

Tengo una creative PCI (que no sé si es 64 Bits o 128bits, creo que es de 64Bits), no me ha funcionado.

Si inicio con f8 y doy la opción de "confirmar paso a paso", me carga los drivers y me dice eso de, instalación completada, pero no oigo nada. Lo dejo de momento y me voy con el sonido integrado de la placa.

Mi placa es una ECS P6BXT-A +.
He buscado información sobre el chip que lleba y he encontrado esto:

The P6BXT-A+ also features built on sound based on the Elite CMI 8338 sound chip providing sound blaster 16 compatible sound. This is no Live! But what do you expect from Built in sound? If I may mention the CMI 8338 is just as good as any other build on sound chip!

Como no me ha funcionado el sonido con el ArcaDOS,he supuesto que este chip no es compatible con AC97, ¿alguien me lo puede confirmar?

Si es que no es compatible, ¿sabeís cuales son los drivers que tengo que utilizar? ¿Valdrían los de la sound blaster 16?. He buscado por internet y no he encontrado nada. ¿Seré un inútil?

Siento molestaros tanto, pero anoche estuve haciendo pruebas hasta la 4 de la mañana,sin conseguir nada, esto es una locura, creo que tengo el mal...ciano.

He buscado por internet y he encontrado los drivers para mi sonido integrado de la página de ECS (Elitegroup).

Me lo he instalado y me ha dejado el autoexec.bat asi (en el autoexec.bat no hay una linea en blanco, es que al copiarlo al post me sale esa linea en blanco en medio):

He arrancado el ordenador con F8, y eligiendo la opción 4. Confimación paso a paso

Y cuando llegaba a linea

El ordenador se quedaba congelado en ese punto.

He modificado el autoexec.bat y lo he dejado así:

Con esto supongo que los drivers están cargados y todo eso, ¿o no?

Confirmo todos los pasos siguientes, se carga la lista de juegos, voy a un juego y no se oye.
Supongo que tendré que poner el el advmame.rc y en el advmenu.rc, el valor correspondiente a la linea device_sound.
Os indico las que he probado:

device_sound auto
device_sound vsync/ac97
device_sound allegro/sb16 -> lo he probado por si era compatible.

Bueno, pues esa es mi odisea, espero ansiosamente vuestras opiniones, ya se me han acabado las pocas neuronas que tenía. No sé que más probar.

bueno, ya tengo sonido en mi recre, al menos por unos instantes, puesto que al poco de salir el front end del arcados el sonido se queda pillado y ya no funciona nada, renicio y vuelve a salir lo mismo. Tengo la CT4810, el autoexec modificado con la irq correcta de la tarjeta segun el sniffer (irq 10, asi que en el autoexec pongo I10) y en los .rc he tenido que poner auto, porque vsync/sb no funcionaba. Que podria pasar? segun el sniffer tiene chip ensoniq. Tambien probé a cambiar de PCI la tarjeta, con el consiguiente cambio de IRQ, pero seguia pasando lo mismo. Aqui os pongo el report del sniffer:

solucion mas bestia para probar, anula esa controladora desde la bios. y vuelve a probar el sniffer a ver si te da el mismo conflicto.

el caso es que, como he puesto ya en el post, la cambie de bus pci y me asigno la IRQ11, asi que estaba tambien compartida con la Nvidia, probaré a cambiar (tengo 4 pcis creo) a ver si pillo alguna libre. Ya cuento algo.
